The European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) is a unique academic venture situated at the Collegium Polonicum in Słubice, Poland, on the German-Polish border. It is a joint initiative of the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań, combining economic and social sciences, politics, and law with technical expertise to explore the impact of digital transformation on European societies. ENS conducts transdisciplinary research and teaches on the challenges and opportunities of technological innovation, fostering an international community keen to impact Europe’s digital transformation. The institution offers a Master of Digital Entrepreneurship (MoDE), an interdisciplinary, project-based degree program that focuses on digitization from various perspectives, including law, economics, social sciences, and computer science. This program allows students to earn a dual German-Polish degree and prepares them to actively shape the digital transformation in various roles. The ENS also hosts a fellowship program, "Datafication in European Societies," designed for postdoctoral researchers and visiting professors. This program aims to build and expand international research collaborations, providing full grants and logistical support to successful applicants. The ENS has collaborated with various international partners on projects such as preparing human resources managers for the integration of artificial intelligence tools. The institution's research focus includes digitalization in public spheres, digital inclusion, and the impact of digital technologies on society. With its unique location and interdisciplinary approach, the ENS serves as a hub for exploring the complexities of Europe’s digital society.
