All Things Urban

All Things Urban is a career platform and professional community for urbanists, headquartered in or near Berlin. Established in June 2018 by Valeria Danin and Anastasia Sukhoroslova, the project began from the founders’ struggle to find urban jobs and organizations centralized in one location. The platform is now led by Sukhoroslova and managed by a distributed team spanning several countries. The organisation’s primary activity is operating a curated jobs and opportunities board focused on urban planning, design, research, policy, and related city-focused professions. Its website attracts thousands of urban professionals globally, who use the site to access employment listings, professional events, and educational opportunities. All Things Urban has built an extensive, international user base, positioning itself as the largest community-driven platform in this niche. While based in the Berlin region, its scope is explicitly global: it connects jobseekers, employers, and experts to facilitate professional growth and interdisciplinary exchange. The user community includes planners, researchers, policymakers, designers, and others engaged in urban challenges. Current activities include the “Stories of Young Urbanists” interview series which profiles early-career professionals, aiming to highlight diverse career journeys and perspectives within the field. All Things Urban is not a project-based consultancy nor does it undertake direct urban intervention.
