Buro Happold is an international engineering and consultancy firm headquartered in Bath, UK, where the company was founded in 1976 by Sir Edmund (Ted) Happold, a structural engineer noted for his expertise in lightweight and tensile structures. Beginning with a team of just seven in a Bath townhouse, Buro Happold has grown to employ over 3,000 people in nearly 40 offices worldwide. Its main office remains in Bath, now with around 500 staff across 30 disciplines, serving as both an international design hub and the organisational headquarters.
