Cutwork is a Paris-based architecture and design studio focused on innovative coworking, coliving, and hospitality spaces, combining architectural design with custom furniture solutions to adapt to modern urban lifestyles.
Cutwork is a Paris-based architecture and design studio founded in 2016 by Antonin Yuji Maeno and Kelsea Crawford. The firm specializes in creating innovative spaces for coworking, coliving, and new hospitality concepts. Cutwork's approach combines architectural design, interior concepts, and custom furniture solutions. The studio gained recognition for its work on STATION F, the world's largest startup campus in Paris, where it designed interior concepts and furniture in 2017. This led to Cutwork's involvement in Flatmates, a large-scale coliving project for 600 residents connected to STATION F, completed in 2019. Cutwork has since expanded its portfolio, working on projects like the Bouygues Immobilier coliving brand, Sharies coliving in Paris, and a flexible masterplan for the Port of Belgrade. The firm has also developed a Coliving Collection of furniture designed specifically for shared living spaces. In 2020, Cutwork won a FRAME Award for Societal Innovation, becoming the youngest studio to receive this recognition. The team, now comprising nine members from diverse international backgrounds, continues to push boundaries in urban living concepts. Cutwork's work extends beyond traditional architecture, incorporating patented industrial technologies that allow for greater flexibility in design and manufacturing. This approach reflects the studio's vision of adapting spaces to evolving lifestyles and work patterns in urban environments.
