Provides data solutions for the global automotive aftermarket.
TecAlliance is a Germany-based provider of data and digital solutions for the global automotive aftermarket. The company was founded in 1994, originally under the name TecDoc, with the aim of standardizing vehicle and spare parts data. Its headquarters is located in Ismaning, near Munich. TecAlliance quickly established its TecDoc Standard as a leading framework for cataloguing and identifying automotive parts, replacing inconsistent, error-prone practices with a standardized, data-driven approach. The first TecDoc Catalogue was distributed on CD, evolving to full digitalization by the 2010s. The company’s scope encompasses several pillars: TecDoc for spare parts information, TecCom for order and invoicing processes, TecRMI for repair and maintenance data, and TecFleet supporting fleet business transactions. TecAlliance’s clients include spare parts manufacturers, distributors, workshops, and fleet operators, aiming to improve transparency, efficiency, and data reliability across the entire independent aftermarket supply chain. Today, TecAlliance employs over 1,000 people and is active in 27 locations worldwide. Its regional structure was recently overhauled, with a new CEO installed in January 2024 to support its expansion in key markets across the Americas, China, Asia Pacific, EMEA, and beyond. A recent strategic move includes the acquisition of the Spanish company Autotecnic, which is expected to strengthen TecAlliance's repair and diagnostic solutions. Sustainability is an increasing focus, with investments in solar energy and measures to optimize its carbon footprint in line with EU regulations. TecAlliance’s solutions are used by major industry players such as Bosch, ZF Group, and Valeo, making it one of the largest global standard-bearers for automotive aftermarket data solutions.
