United Europe is a non-profit association based in Germany, founded in 2013 by prominent figures including former Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel and German entrepreneur Jürgen Großmann. The organisation focuses on fostering a pro-European mindset and facilitating dialogue among European business leaders, policymakers, and academics. Its mission is to support a Europe that safeguards peace, freedom, and economic prosperity for future generations, emphasizing the need for competitiveness and unity across the continent. United Europe operates independently of any political or corporate interests, relying on membership fees and donations for funding. Its network includes over 350 individual members, as well as company members ranging from small businesses to large corporations. Individual membership is set at €100 per year, while companies contribute €10,000 annually. The organisation conducts events such as panel discussions, roundtables, and working group meetings, often hosting these in Berlin and other European capitals. Recent activities include discussions on Europe’s security and economic stability, roundtables on innovation with leaders from Estonia, and panels on addressing the skills gap in Europe. United Europe frequently collaborates with embassies and policy institutes to bring together diverse perspectives. Its advocacy programme specifically targets young Europeans, aiming to involve future leaders in shaping the European project. United Europe’s scope is firmly rooted in promoting practical exchanges between decision-makers and offering a platform for debate on the challenges facing Europe, such as economic resilience and demographic trends.
