Résidence Bertelotte is a student housing project located at 28 rue du Colonel Pierre Avia in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. Managed by CROUS Paris and Paris Habitat, the residence is the result of a major transformation of 4,400 square meters of former office space into a contemporary student residence. The residence offers 138 individual and shared units, with surfaces ranging from approximately 14.5 to 38 square meters, and monthly rents starting around 373 euros, depending on the type of accommodation. The project stands out for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The renovation utilized bio-based and low-carbon materials, notably prefabricated wooden panels insulated with locally sourced straw from Île-de-France. This pioneering construction technique delivers both excellent thermal insulation and a reduced environmental impact. The design supports natural lighting and quality living spaces, contributing to the well-being of residents. Résidence Bertelotte features modern amenities such as secure access, elevators, bicycle storage, laundry facilities, communal lounges, and study rooms. The site is well-served by public transport, with access to Metro line 8, Tram T2 and T3A, and several bus lines. Recognized for both its architectural and environmental achievements, the residence has won several awards, including the Prix Régional Construction Bois 2021, and serves as a model for future urban regeneration and sustainable student housing in Paris.
