10th European Conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns 2024

The 10th European Conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns (ESCT) will be held in Aalborg, Denmark, celebrating significant anniversaries of the Aalborg Charter and the Aalborg Commitments. This conference aims to address how Local Green Deals can actualize the EU Green Deal throughout Europe. More than 1000 local leaders and urban stakeholders are expected to participate, providing a platform to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in sustainable urban development. Key topics will focus on the role of local governments in fostering a sustainable urban future and the importance of collaboration with various partners. With over 200 speakers from diverse fields such as circular economy, climate policy, and urban development, the conference aims to inspire participants to cultivate connections and implement actionable plans to confront the climate crisis. Organized by ICLEI, the event will encourage discussions, knowledge-sharing, and problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
