The 11th European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO) took place in Valencia, Spain, highlighting the city's status as the European Green Capital for 2024. Co-organized by ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability and the European Environment Agency, the forum aimed to address critical themes related to urban resilience and climate adaptation. Four main thematic streams were emphasized: multilevel governance and just transitions, water resilience and the Blue Economy, transformation towards climate-neutral cities, and building resilience in fragile contexts. These topics facilitated vibrant discussions among city representatives, experts, and stakeholders from various local and regional institutions. The forum featured sessions, workshops, and plenaries that focused on strategies for climate change adaptation, disaster management, and urban resilience. By fostering comprehensive approaches to these challenges, EURESFO aimed to promote sustainable development and collaborative efforts in addressing urban resilience.
