Conference for the 10th anniversary of the CoHabitat network

The CoHabitat Network is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a significant gathering in Geneva from September 30 to October 4, 2024. The event will feature a series of workshops, networking sessions, visits to housing cooperatives, and a major public conference on October 1st. The public conference, titled "Community-Led Housing Around The World," will showcase four outstanding community-led housing initiatives from Senegal, Indonesia, Spain, and Switzerland, which have been recognized with the prestigious World Habitat Award for their groundbreaking approaches to housing justice and sustainability. The conference will bring together more than 40 organizations, mainly from civil society and academic institutions, to foster collaborations, celebrate achievements, and showcase the diversity and sustainability of community-led housing. The event aims to discuss how to expand these models globally and address the global housing and climate crises. The conference will be held at the University of Geneva and will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person. The CoHabitat Network, coordinated by urbaMonde, has become a beacon for inclusive and participatory affordable housing solutions, promoting inspiring and innovative solutions led by low-income communities worldwide.
