Creative Bureaucracy Festival 2024

The Creative Bureaucracy Festival 2024 took place on June 13, 2024, in Berlin. The event aimed to celebrate innovative solutions in the public sector, fostering a culture of experimentation and creativity. Over 1,850 participants and more than 200 speakers from nearly 40 countries gathered to discuss and share best practices in administrative innovation. The festival featured four stage programs and four interactive workshop tracks, with 83 sessions covering topics such as citizen-centric grant management, sustainable procurement, mission-driven bureaucrats, and effective state modernization. Key institutions participating included the Project Management Institute, the DigitalService of the Federal Government, the Bertelsmann Foundation, and the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation. The event also included forums on artificial intelligence in the public sector and participatory formats for smaller group discussions. The festival aimed to strengthen the reputation of public administration and appeal to imaginative young talents. The next Creative Bureaucracy Festival is scheduled for June 5, 2025.
