Supports social enterprises through resources, advocacy, and networking.
Euclid Network (EN) is a European association that brings together organizations supporting social enterprises and entrepreneurs across the continent. Founded in 2007 as a joint initiative between ACEVO (UK), CJDES (France), and Ideell Arena (Sweden), its headquarters is in London, United Kingdom. The network today connects over 5,000 members and contacts from 31 countries, representing and supporting nearly 100,000 organizations and operating in 26 countries, with activities extending to 61 countries. The network’s primary focus is fostering the social enterprise ecosystem by facilitating access to resources such as finance, markets, and knowledge. Central activities include peer learning, policy work, research, and international advocacy. For example, EN leads the European Social Enterprise Monitor (ESEM), providing data on the sector, and regularly publishes resources like the European Funding Toolkit. The organization is active in various European and international partnerships, including serving as an observer to the UN Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy. EN has run capacity-building programs, such as the Social Innovation Competition “Naples 2.0,” and contributed to advocacy efforts, including advising the European Commission and influencing EU funding regulations affecting social enterprises. Wieteke Dupain serves as the current CEO. Euclid Network’s work spans practical support, research, convening events, and representing the collective interests of social enterprises at EU and global levels. Its membership comprises support organizations rather than individual enterprises, anchoring its role as a network enabler and policy voice in the European social enterprise landscape.
