Europan is a European network dedicated to architectural, urban planning, and landscape competitions that unite young designers with European cities. It organizes a biennial international competition that addresses relevant themes for urban development across Europe, engaging over 50 cities and more than 2000 teams. The competition not only provides innovative solutions for local urban challenges but also facilitates networking opportunities for young planners at both national and international levels. This fosters ongoing discussions about the transformation of cities and the evolution of planning processes. In Germany, Europan Deutschland, a non-profit association founded in 1989, implements the competition and aims to promote housing and urban development. As one of the founding members of Europan in Europe, it supports the exchange of practical knowledge among municipalities.
