Redo SGR is a real estate fund management company based near Milan, Italy, established in 2019 with a core mission to develop and manage projects focused on affordable housing and urban regeneration. As a certified benefit corporation and B Corp, Redo SGR emphasizes environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and the creation of functional, community-oriented spaces. The company operates primarily in Milan and Lombardy, aiming to deliver quality living solutions that address both affordability and social cohesion. Since its founding, Redo SGR has designed, constructed, and now manages more than 55 assets with a portfolio value of approximately 2 billion euros. This includes around 9,800 apartments and 3,300 student housing units. Redo manages the first sustainable funds in Italy classified under Article 9 of the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, focusing squarely on affordable housing and socially impactful urban redevelopment. One of Redo SGR’s notable ongoing projects is ARIA, which is redeveloping the former slaughterhouse (Ex Macello) site in Milan. This 15-hectare project will provide homes for 1,200 families and education facilities, while targeting LEED Gold certification for sustainability. Another major endeavor is the MilanoSesto regeneration, a collaboration that gave Redo and its partner COIMA control over the majority of a 1 million square meter former industrial area, making it Italy’s largest urban regeneration project. With its portfolio, Redo SGR stands out for its long-term, hands-on involvement in the design, construction, and management of developments that tackle pressing social and environmental challenges in contemporary Italian cities.
